1. Use this post if your social media is predominantly used to communicate with external stakeholders:
We’re proud to be offering alcohol and drug education to our employees via the Tradie Trainer program. Training is compulsory/encouraged and will commence on site from [insert time]. Being hungover from alcohol or coming down from drugs can cause accidents, we’re all responsible for reducing harm from alcohol and drugs in this industry. [LINK]
2. Use this post on your Intranet or any other internal communications channels.
From [date] we’ll be rolling out Tradie Trainer – a drug and alcohol education program designed specifically for the construction industry. The online program is fast, easy-to-use, and most importantly will help us all to improve safety on site. Participation is encouraged/compulsory for all employees. We encourage everybody to take just 15 minutes out of their day to get educated.

Tradie Trainer is an online education tool, created specifically for the construction industry.
With some of the highest rates of workplace accidents, the construction industry is particularly vulnerable from the risks associated with alcohol and drug misuse. That’s why it’s important that we prioritise drug and alcohol education across Australian worksites.
We’re all responsible for helping to reduce the harms and improve safety.

2. Use this post as part of your internal communications as a ‘how to’ email which you can send to employees prior to rolling out the program.

If you’ve ever been hungover at work, you’ve put your mates and yourself at serious risk. Having a hangover or coming down from drugs at work can be just as dangerous as being intoxicated.
From [date] all employees will be required/are encouraged to participate in the Tradie Trainer program. It’s a free, easy to use online education tool that will help us all to reduce the harms associated with substance misuse on and off-site.
