ADF celebrated as top innovator

The Alcohol and Drug Foundation is thrilled it was named one of Australia and New Zealand’s most innovative companies, at the prestigious 2022 AFR BOSS Most Innovative Companies Awards in Sydney.

The Foundation ranked 7th on the list of the Most Innovative Companies in the Government, Education and Not-for-Profit category, from over 700 nominated organisations.

"This accolade reinforces the Alcohol and Drug Foundation’s passion and commitment to doing things differently; pushing the boundaries; testing, trialling and refining new solutions,” said the Alcohol and Drug Foundation’s CEO, Dr Erin Lalor AM.

"Innovation is embedded in every corner of our business. We feel incredible proud that our work, including Path2Help, our online tool to help people find the right support and empower positive action, has been recognised and celebrated with this award,” Dr Lalor added.

Path2Help is a free, confidential service for people who are worried about a loved one’s alcohol and other drug use, or their own. People answer a simple set of online questions and are provided with information about the best suited help and support in their local area, from a list of more than 10,000 support services.

“We created Path2Help because we were concerned that many Australians who were worried about a loved one’s alcohol or other drug use, didn’t know where to turn to when they needed help and support,” Dr Lalor explained.

“Path2Help is an easy-to-use, easily accessible tool, that provides people with early access to the most relevant services in their local area. People don’t need to know what they are looking for, Path2Help’s built-in algorithm does it all for them,” Dr Lalor added.
